Used set consisting of 2 transponder chips and the corresponding reading equipment. In the early models of the Alfa 156, the systems for exchanging the key codes between ECU and ignition lock are not yet linked. Those cars built before 2000 it is possible to exchange the transponder computer without the need to learn (which is usually an expensive matter) of the new transponder chips.

The chips fit in the designated space in the front of the key house. With a small screwdriver they are easy to change.

It concerns a matching set correctly working disassembled from an Alfa 156 of year 1999.
